System Developer VMWare (m/f/d)

Your tasks:
- Creation of concepts for systems and subsystems and specifications as well as carrying out requirements analyses and management
- Carrying out system integration and error detection, system tests and support in the creation of quantity structures and schedules
- Support in negotiating technical content with customers, partners and suppliers and support in the definition, planning and control of work packages (ACTUAL/SOLL)
- Coordination and creation of essential system documents and carrying out technical reviews and audits
- Creation of technical decision templates (e.g. make or buy) and creation of test concepts and documents
- Reporting and presentation of development results in project status meetings
- Conception, planning, realisation and testing of system-wide IP networks

Your profile:
- Completed technical studies and several years of professional experience in a technical department
- Experience in the operation of LAN and WLAN infrastructures, preferably with Cisco technologies
- Knowledge of network security (especially Tipping Point and Fortinet firewalls) and of Software Defined Networking (SDN)
- Knowledge and understanding of IT services (Active Directory, SCCM, IAM) and virtualisation technologies (vmWare and Microsoft Hyper-V) and of the implementation of IT security measures / intrusion detection / intrusion prevention is desirable
- Programming and scripting experience is an advantage (examples: Python, YAML, JSON)
- Very good knowledge of routing and switching, especially in-depth knowledge of traffic routing/routing protocols and routing protocols as well as traffic shaping / packet prioritisation / quality of service / congestion control
- Business fluent in English (written and spoken), very good German language skills
