**Partner with the best**
The Systems & Instrumentation Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning and fault finding for the full range of hardware and software products in the Cordant™ Solutions business portfolio. Primarily customers will be associated with the Oil & Gas and Power Generation industries that operate and maintain rotating machinery such as steam and gas turbines, generators, pumps, compressors, etc.
As a Systems & Instrumentation Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Installation and commissioning of Bently Nevada hardware and Cordant™ software.
- Troubleshoot existing Bently Nevada hardware and Cordant™ software installations on-site.
- Provide technical assistance to customers on site as needed.
- Prepare accurate and detailed service reports, timesheets and expense report after every service mission.
- Monitor and manage site safety requirements during job execution.
**Fuel your passion**
To be successful in this role you will:
- Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics engineering degree or equivalent.
- Willingness and availability to travel, sometimes on short notice.
- German and English language skills both written and oral. Other languages valued.
- Possess a valid driver's license and passport.
- Electronics and/or mechanical troubleshooting and analytical skills. “Hands-on approach”.
Desired characteristics:
- Experience in energy and/or oil & gas industries.
- Knowledge of rotating machinery and/or vibration analysis.
- Background in control systems and DCS / SCADA.
- Strong computer/IT skills: switches / firewalls / routers, servers management, AV & patching, VMware ESXi/Hyper-V management.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and achieve milestones and deliverables.
