In the fiscal year 2024 the business areas, which now belong to AUMOVIO, generated sales of 19.6 billion Euro. The company is headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany and has about 87.000 employees in more than 100 locations worldwide.
**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager VAT (m/f/diverse) in Frankfurt am Main or Hannover to support our VAT function and our business operations with expert VAT advice.
- Providing VAT advisory across the Group to ensure robust VAT compliance and support to mitigate VAT risks
- Ensure VAT compliance by timely and accurate filings
- Support and perform VAT registrations
- Work alongside with professional tax advisors to obtain accurate, timely and practical advice on VAT matters
- Monitor new VAT legislation and advise business operations on their impact on the business
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance VAT reporting and compliance
- Support tax team and operating entities from a VAT perspective
- Support with tax audits
- Strong knowledge in EU chain transactions and triangular supplies
**Qualifications**
The ideal candidate (m/f/diverse) will possess the following qualifications:
- Academic degree in tax, economy, or law; professional tax certifications are a plus, but not a must have (e.g., Steuerberater)
- Several years of experience in the field of VAT (German VAT Act and EU VAT Directive), ideally in a multinational corporation or a Big Four environment
- Strong understanding of domestic and international tax regulations
- Proven experience in working with tax authorities and managing tax matters in multiple jurisdictions
- Fluent German and good English skills
