About the Job
* Guaranteeing reliable, high-performance and secure database operation as a platform for business-critical applications on-prem and in the cloud
* Technical and disciplinary management of several employees
* Responsibility for personnel and budget planning
* Implementation of resource, capacity and license management
* Creation and implementation of backup & recovery strategies as well as high availability & cluster concepts to ensure recovery time & recovery point objectives
* Definition, implementation and monitoring of appropriate concepts for data protection and security
* Collaboration with our national & international IT departments and external partners
* Project planning, coordination and implementation of national & international projects

About You
* Degree in computer science / business informatics or training with an IT focus
* Several years of professional experience in the database environment (Oracle from 11g and/or MS SQL from 2008R2), certification desirable
* Confident handling at Windows & Linux operating system level
* Experience in the technical and disciplinary management of employees
* Independent, responsible, structured and service-orientated way of working
* Strong teamwork and communication skills as well as reliability
* Ability to innovate and results-orientation
* Good comprehension skills and the ability to analyse complex contexts independently
* Good knowledge of German and English
