Mitochondrial metabolism and genome regulation
About us
Our research group at the University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG) explores the dynamic coordination between mitochondria and metabolism to reveal how metabolic pathways regulate mtDNA homeostasis and mitochondrial function. We combine cell biology, advanced imaging, proteomics, metabolomics, and genetic approaches across yeast, mammalian cells, and mouse models. The lab is located in a highly collaborative environment within the Göttingen Research Campus, which hosts several internationally leading institutes, including the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences. For recent examples of our work, see PMID: 29519802; 40811546. The technical assistant performs experimental work in the research area of cell biology and metabolism, supports general lab functions, and provides technical support to other members of the group.
Have we sparked your interest? We look forward to receiving your application, including a CV, certificates, and contact details for at least one reference, compiled into a single PDF via the system. If you have any questions regarding the advertised position, do not hesitate to contact Tânia Medeiros for further information or to visit the lab website: https://taniamedeiros6.wixsite.com/mitochondrial-meta-1/research.
