At Lam, as an Engineering Technician, you play a crucial role in supporting activities including design, test, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, and specialized test equipment. Referencing schematics, diagrams, and descriptions, you conduct testing and troubleshooting. You'll perform fault isolation and assist in determining methods to remedy malfunctions. Your commitment to precision and problem-solving enhances Lam's engineering systems.
What you'll do
* Perform testing, check-out, and troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, descriptions, layouts, or defined plans.
* Tests and troubleshoots system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems.
* Inspect materials, components, or products for surface defects and measure circuitry, using electronic test equipment, precision measuring instruments, microscope, and standard procedures.
* Conduct operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment, help in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
* Support the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment.
* Use test and diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
* Collaborates with development engineers conducting engineering tests to collect design data or support in research efforts.
Who we're looking for
* Technical education (e.g. HTL Mechatronik, Elektrotechnik)
* 2-4 years of related work experience.
* Willingness to work in team and different work areas (tubing, mechanical and electrical assembly and test)
* Good skills in utilizing computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software
* Oral and written communication skills in English
* Self managed and proactive working style
* Work overtime when required
What We're Offering
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group E. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
WORKING HOURS
* Flexitime model 38,5 hours/week, Core hours (Mo-Th 9-15, Fr 9-11:30)
