For you, continuous optimization in an agile sense means not only technology but also organization and culture? Are you also able to inspire both management and your employees with your vision of shared responsibility for IT operations and development? Then we are looking for you! Take over the operation and platform development for Germany's largest web portal with over 10 billion page impressions per month and over 30,000 servers.

- In addition to the administration teams, which are spread across three locations, you will also manage the development of our operating platforms (CD/CI, Kubernetes, storage, databases, etc.).
- You will be actively involved in the conception of system architectures as well as the strategic and technical roadmap design.
- You will drive the continuous optimization of availability, scalability, latency and efficiency.
- You develop a strategy for 24/7 availability of the systems, which also takes into account deployments through software development.
- You define goals and track their implementation, you coach managers and support them in terms of a servant leader approach.
- You will work closely with software development and product management as well as our in-house data centers.

# Your Profile

Did you start your career in IT operations, e.g. as a system administrator, and are at home in both worlds (development and operations)? Do you see yourself as a servant leader and can also inspire a team of approx. 80 employees including team leads? Your attitude: “Great developments in companies never come from one person. - You have a technical degree and several years of management experience in IT operations, e.g. as a director, VP, division manager or CTO.
- You can create a vision for IT Operations, define OKRs, further develop the organization or your area and further develop the transformation towards automation and (container) platforms.
- You are familiar with IT and network security implementation.
- You have experience with system design as well as software design of distributed systems.
- You are up-to-date with current IT technologies such as Ceph, Kubernetes, Istio, Cassandra, Prometheus, Elastic Search and GoCD or gitlab CI.
- You are results-oriented, work in a structured manner and are open to constructive discussions.
