Im Zuge des Synthimmune Teilprojekts “Regulatorische Bewertung von Forschung und Umsetzung in SynthImmune“ des Exzellenzcluster der Universität Heidelberg ist am BioQuant zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt folgende Stelle am Lehrstuhl für Internationales Gesundheits- und Medizinrecht sowie Datenschutzrecht der Juristischen Fakultät (AG MedGov, Prof. Dr. iur. Fruzsina Molnár-Gábor) zu besetzen. Die Stelle ist zunächst befristet (Teilzeit 70%) für die Dauer eines Jahres und kann nach Rücksprache und beidseitigem Einvernehmen verlängert werden.

**Akademische\*r Mitarbeiter\*in (w/m/d)**

Die biologische Klassifizierung synthetischer Zellen und Zellstrukturen basiert hauptsächlich auf der physikalischen Funktionalität der modellierten biologischen, natürlichen Einheit. Die rechtliche Bewertung basiert zwar ebenfalls im Allgemeinen auf diesem Ansatz, berücksichtigt jedoch auch andere Merkmale dieser Einheiten sowie die Auswirkungen ihrer Entwicklung und Anwendung. Ziel dieses Teilprojekts ist es daher, die im Rahmen des Projekts geschaffenen synthetischen biologischen Einheiten aus rechtlich-normativer Perspektive zu bewerten.

**Das Aufgabengebiet:  **

- Wissenschaftliche Projektarbeit im Bereich des nationalen, vergleichenden und europäischen Datenschutzrechts (Schwerpunkt: Öffentliches Recht, Gesundheitsdatenrecht)
- Wissenschaftliche Recherche
- Unterstützung der interdisziplinären Projektleitung
- Kommunikation mit Projektpartner\*innen
- Organisatorische Aufgaben
- Vorbereitung und Übernahme von Lehrveranstaltungen

**Voraussetzungen:**

- Erste juristische Prüfung oder LL.M

- Gute Kenntnisse der englischen Sprache in Wort und Schrift (weitere Sprachkenntnisse sind von Vorteil)
- Erfahrung in wissenschaftlicher Recherche und wissenschaftlicher Arbeit sind von Vorteil
- Gute EDV-Kenntnisse (MS Office)
- Selbstständiger und kreativer Arbeitsstil
- Flexibilität und Einsatzbereitschaft

In the context of the Synthimmune sub-project: “Regulatory assessment of research and translation in SynthImmune” of the Excellence cluster of the University Heidelberg the BioQuant has immediate vacancies for the following position at the Chair of International Health and Medical Law and Data Protection Law (Prof. Dr. iur. Fruzsina Molnár-Gábor) at the Faculty of Law. This position is initially limited for a period of one year (Part-time 70%) with potential option of an extension after mutual agreement:

**Research Assistant (f/m/d)**

The biological classification of synthetic cells and cell structures is mainly based on the physical functionality of the modeled biological, natural entity. Although the legal assessment is also generally based on this approach, it also takes into account other characteristics of these entities as well as the implications of their development and application. When considered from a fundamental rights perspective, and in particular from the perspective of the corresponding protective obligations of state actors, including through regulation, there is a key criterion in this assessment. This is the connection these entities have to natural, personally identifiable material and which rights of affected actors are protected by fundamental rights and may require operationalization under ordinary law. The aim of this subproject will therefore be to assess the synthetic biological entities created in the project from a legal-normative perspective.

**Responsibilities: **

- Scientific project work in the field of national, comparative and European data protection law
- Scientific research (Focus: Public Law, Health Data Law)
- Support of the interdisciplinary project management
- Communication with project partners
- Organizational tasks
- Preparation and teaching of courses
