DEKRA ARBEIT. Become part of our Team as a SCADA System Architect
(m/w/d) at our customer's site in Karlsruhe, in a full-time role.
What you do:
- Developing and designing standard solution for SCADA to deliver
secured scalable architectures in line wich customer requirements
ensuring compliance as per industry standards
- Develop project specific solutions and architectures working closely
with the bid management team & sales team
- Preparing the technical description of the solution
- Creating bill of materials for the SCADA solution
- Stakeholder Management GT etc.
- Technical support to the sales, BM and engineering team.
- Training of in-house departments, such as sales, bid management,
project execution
- Translation of functionalities required to Epics/Feature
descriptions & high-level acceptance criteria
What you bring:
- Successfully completed university degree in Electrical Engineering,
Automation, or a related technical field
- Proven experience (at least 5 years) as a Solution Architect, System
Architect, Lead Engineer, or Project Manager in the SCADA/Control
Systems domain for energy or industrial applications
- Strong knowledge of SCADA system architecture and design, including
redundancy concepts, high availability, and scalability
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, standards,
and codes
- Deep understanding of communication protocols such as
IEC 60870‑5‑101/104, IEC 61850, OPC UA, DNP3, Modbus;
experience with ICCP/TASE.2 is a plus
- Hands-on experience with leading SCADA platforms (e.g., T3000,
Siemens Spectrum Power, WinCC OA, COPA-DATA zenon, VIVAVIS
HIGH-LEIT…)
- Solid understanding of networking and IT security principles
- Experience in project execution, including preparation of technical
specifications
- Knowledge of data modeling and HMI/alarm management
- Market and technology awareness of SCADA solutions and integration
into OT/IT environments
- Language: English: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
with the ability to engage customers at eye level
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a
collaborative and structured approach

- Language skills: English (fluent); German is desirable
